Total number of N/S tracks

I recently bought Manships price guide book and see about 18,000 tunes that could be played at a rare soul event today, ie danceable soul, up to 1976 as a restriction just to get figure. I admit I have never heard of 40% of those listed but could also add a few thousand that are not in the guide.

What do the readers think is an accurate number of tracks that could be or have been played?

God knows, but I have a database on my other PC with more than 11,000 tracks listed and that's probably 4 years out of date.
