Guest 71TRSC Posted September 16, 2004 Posted September 16, 2004 Can anyone tell me how much one of these would be going for at the mo?
grant Posted September 16, 2004 Posted September 16, 2004 seems to have gone up in price since ginger has played it out lately!! paid a tennerformine 12 months ago, think its fetchin about £60 or more now.
Dave Abbott Posted September 16, 2004 Posted September 16, 2004 any thing up to £150.00 Butch has been playing it for quite a while
Guest James Trouble Posted September 16, 2004 Posted September 16, 2004 I know quiet a few 'funk' DJs who would like a copy. "In demand" would be a fitting phrase. GREAT record, so rightly so.

Guest 71TRSC Posted September 16, 2004 Posted September 16, 2004 Cheers Chaps. I'm sure I heard Butch play it on saturday at the 100 club and on your website mr trouble which made me think about it. The hunt is on.
Chalky Posted September 16, 2004 Posted September 16, 2004 A well known DJ and record dealer recently sold two copies for £150 each.
Guest SteveC Posted September 16, 2004 Posted September 16, 2004 Dave will know that I've been after one of these for a while and expect to pay £150 if I find one - possibly more. As previously mentioned it is hard to track down.

Guest Ferrett Posted September 17, 2004 Posted September 17, 2004 Was this ever booted? I paid £3 in 1990 (green coloured label) and flogged it to Stu from Manchester for about £8 in the late 90's because I preferred the other version. I'm convinced it was a boot but he laughs in my face now when Butch plays it. If it was a real one I may need to find a corner to cry in!!

Hold fire with the tissues; according to the guide was booted, green on styrene.
Guest 71TRSC Posted September 17, 2004 Posted September 17, 2004 I believe it was covered by the Artistics as well? Anyone heard that version? Is it any good? Gonna be cheaper.
Dave Abbott Posted September 17, 2004 Posted September 17, 2004 I believe it was covered by the Artistics as well? Anyone heard that version? Is it any good? Gonna be cheaper. Yes it is good - not as good as J Howard IMO. £10 to £15.
Jim Elliott Posted September 18, 2004 Posted September 18, 2004 Seem to remember that Johnnys' barnstorming version was issued on the much missed Kent series, NO, No, not my girl Lp can't remember the number tho, came out in '86 I think.

Yes, funnily enough I dug this out of a mates sales box last night and JH is on it!! Good album (as were most of the Kent LP's from that era)
