Guest eringobrath1965 Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 Hi all .. A little help please if you could ? I've just come across a copy of Jimmy James & the Vagabonds ( spelt Jimmie on the label ) Red red wine / Who could be loving you on an Australian ASTOR label . A little research on the net dosn't really throw up much info about its release other than its Australian ! Label is back with a yellow diamond and its release number is AP-1581 . I could possibly scan a photo if thats any help ? atb & thanks in advance Jeff
Pete S Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 It's just a straight Aussie issue of the UK Pye single Jeff. Astor issued product from loads of UK labels.

Dave Pinch Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 i kinda like it ..never gonna be an all time fave but i dont dislike it,,,,i wouldnt pay any money for it. never had a uk copy. i had 3 german pye copies in p/s all bought for a couple of euro each and moved them on for good profit and at the moment i have an italian pye copy with orig sleeve which is cool that cost nothing....that may go when a decent want comes along but ive had that quite a few years now..maybe a 6 or 7 out of 10 45 imvho
45cellar Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 It is a nice Label, I recently acquired Bettye Swann. Been looking out for a copy for ages. 1

Never seen another since. I,ve also had 3 German 1 Italian and 2 Turkish copies which together made about the same as the copy on Astor.
Sean Hampsey Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 It is a nice Label, I recently acquired Bettye Swann. Been looking out for a copy for ages. I have this too Roger. Don't know if you've noticed... its a different take with no backing vocals! Sean
