Stevie Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 Does anyone have a discography, or any other information re this label? I'm aware of the following few: 1002 - Vivian Copeland - Cushion the blow 1005 - Vivian Copeland - I don't care 1303 - Billy Washington - Do you really love me 1303 - Little Mason - Long Loving Daddy 3500 - Vivian Copeland - He knows my key Have seen scans for 1303 and this number does appear to have been duplicated.
boba Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 D'or 101 Ray Lewis - Too sweet to be lonely / Sitting at home with my baby 102 Internationals - Give A Damn / Push Button Love 105 Internationals - Too Sweet To Be Lonely / Beautiful Philosophy D'oro 1002 Vivian Copeland - Chaos (In My Heart) / Cushion The Blow (5/69) 1003/4 Vivian Copeland - He Knows My Key / So Nice I Had To Kiss You Twice (7/69) 1006/7 Vivian Copeland - I Don't Care / Oh No Not My Baby 3500 Vivian Copeland - He Knows My Key / So Nice I Had To Kiss You Twice (10/69) 888 George Jackson - Tender Love / Rufus, Come And Get Your Dog I don't think the billy washington or little mason is the same label. Not sure about the george jackson above (I haven't seen it) but it geographically makes sense at least.
Stevie Posted November 27, 2012 Author Posted November 27, 2012 I think you could be right re Billy Washington and Little Mason - they are on a gold/red D'oro label. Have only seen white demo of Vivian Copeland and that was distributed by Atco/Atlantic New York.
John Reed Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 (edited) I don't think the billy washington On Billy Washington's "What Did You Do" & "Do You Really Love Me" one of the writers was LeCharles Harper, who also co-wrote "I Dont Care" & "So Nice..." for Vivian Copeland, so I feel there is a tenable link there.
