Denbo Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 No, they're designed to stack. The rounded 'balls' on the corners of the bottom of the box are indented, meaning that top and bottom of separate boxes fit snugly into one another... Aah, I see now. Clever.
Trev Thomas Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 listen to you lot......the handle might cut into my hand.....its linned with foam and not carpet......the lift off hinges arn't burglar proof.... this is what you want, cant beat em 1

I used to have a load of those when I first started collecting, they were brilliant. Then one day, they disappeared. Still got my records but where the hell the boxes go to is anybody's guess. Hey, hang on . . . that's mine.
iansgee Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Hello All I'd recommend the far superior "Blacka" boxes to anybody and as one of the previous posts said if you collect there's no VAT. The only other site that sells the boxes with the same handles as Blacka is in Germany and is a bugger to find on the net. I think the German boxes are the ones for sale on JM's site. KTF Ian G

Guest turntableterra Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 quote name='john s' timestamp='1353969102' post='1831113' Was thinking about buying a couple of these - don't like the handle as much as the Swan one (looks a bit more vulnerable), like the stacking aspect though. Any idea if Beatin' Rhythm still do their flight cases - I've had one of theirs for 10 years, indestructible./quote i still have and use a record box made for me by a cabinet maker soul boy i met at wigan casino 1979. i think his name was ian pickering (i think pickering), from clithero. it was beautifull mohogany colour with a cabinet lock on it and velvet inside lining
soulsalmon Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 The ones Beatin used to sell were made by Blakka
Dave West Posted December 14, 2012 Author Posted December 14, 2012 Just got a swan 200, bit disappointed as only holds about 160 - 170 , the 200 is if in paper sleeves, well your not gonna use paper if your records are that good your gonna spend £60 just to carry them... Dave
skiinspain Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 Just ordered a 150 from Blacka yesterday have a few 250s from them already, one phone call good service no problem, last for ever. 1
Mtay9778 Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 I realise this is an old thread but I got in touch with Blacka after reading the posts on here and I've now bought a couple of boxes from them. They're brilliant boxes in my opinion and I wouldn't look anywhere else now. 1
