Dave Moore Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 Here's one that every so called "Promoter/DJ" should own, written by the same guys. Most people will be surprised at just how much they DON'T know about DJing, the equipment, the techniques and the science of sound. The second half of the book is only really of intrest if your gonna be scratching, flicking, creating 'breaks' 'twiddlin' or God forbid ...'Scribbling!' But the first 1/3rd of the book and it's laymen's terminology about how to get the absolute most out of your rig is a must read and digest. Regards, Dave https://books.google....bs_similarbooks
Geeselad Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 nearly worn my copy out, the chapters on the warehouse , the paradise garage and sanctuary are pretty much definative, but you may want to skip the jimmy saville bit.
The Yank Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 They also wrote "The Record Players" which features the full interviews for some of the people they talked and adds more Modern deejays.
Guest Byrney Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 Was given this as a leaving present for moving jobs years ago. A great read for those of us who like across the board DJ culture.
