Guest Brooky
Quite a few popular tunes where the instrumental is better IMHO...........Exus Trek as an example..... Big one for me though.....the Kaddo Strings on Impact kicks Duke Browner vocal into a cocked hat I think....as does the Tan Soul version of Hey America.......... Sorry if it's been done before........ 1 Link to comment Social source share
Northern Soul Uk
Yeah I agree some instro' are better than the vocal versions. One of my faves is 'Milton Wright - The Gallop' Actually I'm not sure which came first the instro' or the vocal version?, I have a feeling that the vocal was put on after? Anyone? Sjclement
loved some of those Modern Instrumentals credited to Arthur Wright Orchestra and appeared on the b of some of the reissues Mary Love, Vernon Garrett and my particular favourite Before Its Too Late. Popular Post Pete S
I love most of these and agree with most of them being better than the vocals but the instrumental of Try A Little Harder better than the vocal, do me a favour, it's very week compared to those other scorching Mirwood insts and the vocal is just brilliant. 4 Link to comment Social source share
Tezza
One step too far with this one me thinks. "As Long As You Love Me" undoubtedly superior. Also, got to agree with Pete - The Fidels - Try A Little Harder !!! I think we all need to try a little harder if we are gonna site these as inferior to the Instrumentals. !! 1 Link to comment Social source share

Md Records
Wasn't Little Floridy played as "Herb Ward - Theme From The Forgotten Man" or something similar - you have to Love Guy's imagination, when it comes to "cover ups".
