Cunnie Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 Can you believe this  ?? I will not be watching the Superbowl this year in personal protest! https://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=5170641 Rumor has it that 3 of the demolition crew walked out of the building shortly before demolition with boxes full of unreleased acetates. Local police are on the lookout for Mr Manship, Mr Brown & Mr Moerer
Harrogatesoul Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 https://www.detroitfunk.com/ Very sad really . But Detroit has long suffered . Poorest city in the US apparently. Ford cutting 30 000 jobs... maybe some folks will sell all their old ' local ' detroit soul hits 45s at local garage sales...... Rich
Guest in town Mikey Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 I wrote to Paul Tagliabue (the NFL Commisioner) complaining that Detroit is holding the Superbowl and the ###kin Rolling Stones are doing the half time show. Apparently there are no Motown Stars with as much appeal as the Stones!! UNBELIEVABLE. Stevie Wonder (is doing the pre game show), Lionel Ritchie, Diana Ross. None of these are global?? Please! I guess if the Superbowl is held in Nashville it will be Jazz music at halftime, not Dolly Parton. BUT I will be watching. Cos I really really dislike the Steelers. Come on Hawks!!
Supercorsa Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 Cos I really really dislike the Steelers. C'mon Mikey, Get It From The Bottom isn't that bad a record!
