Seano Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 (edited) Just noticed that there's a documentary about a record store in Stockton on this evening called Sound It Out. BBC4 at 10.55pm. I bought this DVD earlier this year (I think) in Head in Leamington. Although there's precious little to do with Soul, for the vinyl fans it's a really interesting look at the last record shop in Teeside. Edited November 16, 2012 by seano 1
Guest john s Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 I saw it in the cinema in Bristol last year, a charming, warm, and funny film.
paultp Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 I saw it at City Screen in York, lovely film. The guy from the record shop was there and so were a good few of the customers featured in the film. Made me want to open a record shop
Middleman Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 Great little film, odd place and clientele though, slightly worrying. In the info for the programme it said it was the last remaining record shop open in the country, didn't understand this as I know of a few in London and the south east. Did the shop only sell vinyl, is that it?
Guest chrislokeh Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 (edited) Watched it this morning ,some real characters, loved the guy who came in buying cd,s of what he heard in the pub and the two heavy metal lads bit like Waynes World.Well worth a look Edited November 17, 2012 by chrislokeh
