Cheapsiderecords Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 Saw these guys Sunday night, great show, Ron Tyson in great vocal form. A great version of Stay included which was a bit of a surprise!! Got an on-line offer, $30 a ticket!! Am now contemplating a drive to Windsor to see Dennis Edwards and his version ot the Temps - anyone know who else is in this group? A few years ago we saw Richard Street and his lot, how many groups are there out there? Kevin

Guest in town Mikey Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 I'd pay to hear My Girl sung in a Wolverhampton accent.

Roburt Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 (edited) Last I heard the D.E.Temptations Review also featured David Sea (great singer, loads of brill MS sides), Mike Potello, Chris Arnold and Paul Williams Jr.(son of original Temptations member Paul Williams). They are known for putting on a better show than Otis & his bunch. Edited November 15, 2012 by Roburt
Mickjay33 Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 (edited) saw dennis edwards & the temps last year they were brill Edited November 15, 2012 by mickjay33
paultp Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 I don't know what the situation is now but I do know that my missus registered "The Temptations" as a trademark for Otis Williams some years ago. A lot of members of groups from the 60's and 70's are squabbling over the rights to use the original group name, particularly as the nostalgia tour scene is so lucrative.
Mike Lofthouse Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 Saw the Dennis Edwards line-up in Feb this year at the Beacon in New York - not a bad show. Enchantment were on the the same bill and they were a very pleasant surprise Mike
Gene-r Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 Pete Smith's 'Temptations' are the records on his sales list!
