Guest Andy Kempster Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 Am i right in thinking that the right company sleeve for 'thanks for a little loving' would be the white one with blue horizontal bars and not the green one covered with repeated 'abc'
Pete S Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 Am i right in thinking that the right company sleeve for 'thanks for a little loving' would be the white one with blue horizontal bars and not the green one covered with repeated 'abc' I can't recall the green one but yeah it should be pale blue and white
The Yank Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 (edited) The green sleeve was first used in the early 70s for ABC releases. Just checked on the 45-sleeves web site and the green sleeve was used from 1974 (#12012) to 1979 (#12469). Edited November 16, 2012 by the yank
boba Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 I had 4 stock copies of this once and they all had blue/white sleeves
Prophonics 2029 Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 Oh dear ! thanks Yank, I have had it with 68 stuff !Gulp!
boba Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 If you've ever looked through store stock, records have been put in all sorts of different sleeves, even if they're as they came from the company. They will use whatever old sleeves they have, stuff is even in sleeves from different companies, etc. They weren't like special collectibles being sold to the public, it was just music and they needed something to put the records in.
