Guest Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 Temptations "Forever In My Heart" is one of the best. Butch has the original acetate, I also think he has the original acetate of Gladys Knight "Too Late For You And Me"(?). The instrumental of "Crying Time" is superb northern soul too.
Geoff Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 "The instrumental of "Crying Time" is superb northern soul too." I like this one too, not as much as the vocal, but a great dance track. However it always seems to jump at least once.

In fairness to Ady, who was kind enough to let me have a cut of it, the answer is no. And, as Sian has pointed out, if I did one, I'd have to do hundreds. Edited May 4, 2006 by Dave Rimmer

Guest WPaulVanDyk Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 For me it has to be Frank Wilson and Chris Clark - Do I Love You as a duet i don't know if it's ever been released i believe more like on accete. I had a version on my computer ages ago. i know some songs i like that i ain't ever seen on record recorded but first released on CD Years ago does that count.

I had a version on my computer ages ago. i know some songs i like that i ain't ever seen on record recorded but first released on CD Years ago does that count. That in theory is not an ureleased record as it was made by Toothless Tony Warot, by cutting the tapes of Frank Wilson and Chris Clarks versions and putting them together, so it was never sung as a duet, hence not a real unrealesed recording
Guest vinylvixen Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 Blimey.......how could I forget the Luther Ingram track that Ady plays that goes.........'oh baby don't you, oh baby don't you, oh,oh.............' and I still don't know what it's called but it's stunning....and there's a couple of Nancy Wilcox things.....lovely.... Guest WPaulVanDyk Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 I hear The Velvelettes recorded a version of Baby Love but yet to see that released. Would that count unless there are boot versions
Guest Baz Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 I hear The Velvelettes recorded a version of Baby Love but yet to see that released. Would that count unless there are boot versions Most proberly, Berry often had many singers/groups/artists record the same track, the best one would get the release
Guest Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 "You'll Never Find A Man Like Me - The Dynamics" confess that I have only just heard this tune today taken from the What a Shame Album, fantastic tune, presume it is an unreleased track?

"you`ll never find a man like me" came out on the original Black Gold lp. Mark Houghton

But talking of great "Unreleased Till Recently" tracks, that "Honey Lane" on the Tommy Good CD is a bit of a belter, innit? As is the track mistakenly credited as the Clarence Paul song "My Love For You" (which it's not, the Miracles' version of that song can be found on their "Make It Happen"/"Tears Of A Clown" LP). Whatever it's called, though, it's definitely from the pen of Mr. William Robinson Jr., and it's completely brilliant. I played these two tracks alternately for half an hour solid this morning, and I've already played both a couple more times this afternoon... I was actually prepared to sneer at the chances of a whole CD of Tommy being, er, "Good" but it's actually much better than that! 'TWO TESTICLES' TONE
Guest vinylvixen Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 Luther Ingram - Ooh baby dont you weep, feckin awsome Cheers Baz....now I'll be able to sing along....it's good knowing the proper title Jo
Mattbolton Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 Baby Don't You Weep - Luther Ingram Gamblers Blues - Nancy Wilcox Hytones flip. And best of all... San Fran TKO's - Make Up Your Mind & Martha Jean Love - Old Time Lover. Easy my fave two by a mile. Though I definitely err on the side of the latter...
Soulof Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 Hytones flip. * Do you mean Good News ?? Thats´s abs fantastic. Top 5 record Heard A Croasdell spin Alex patton - Once you find true love or someth. like that on an old radio show I have. what a track. unissued also isn´t it ??

Mattbolton Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 Hytones flip. * Do you mean Good News ?? Thats´s abs fantastic. Top 5 record Nope. 'Good News' was the side Ady chose to play out. The flip side is a tamer, more harmonious affair. I can't for the life of me remember it. But it's delicious.
Stateside Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 On the subject of unreleased tracks what about Deon Jackson - Someday the sun will shine - Personally I think it is an unreleased Bobby Vee track (night has a thousand eyes fame), every time I hear it I can picture Bobby Vee. Having said that I actually quite like him.
Simon T Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 One I've just started playing out Patrice Holloway - Sugar Coated Words, unissued Motown, gorgeous midtempo. Sorry no sound clip you'll have to catch me next couple of weeks @ Piercebridge or Lifeline Weekender
Briles Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 I like the 'Herbert Hunter - Love has taken over me' track. I beleive it's on a Kent CD, and soundfile can be found on Soul Club. I do agree with earlier comments about the Temptations track though, probably the best IMO.
