Daz Posted November 20, 2012 Author Posted November 20, 2012 SOMEONE MUST A COPY OF THIS FOR ME - SURELY??
binsy Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 wonderful record Daz, also came out on a 12" bizarrely
John Reed Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 wonderful record Daz, also came out on a 12" bizarrely From memory the 12" is a longer cut than the 7"
binsy Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 Not sure John, but I played it as my first record at the Norfolk village revival a few weeks back.
Garethx Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 The 12 is a bit longer in terms of running but thankfully the fantastic ending is fully intact on both versions: the 12 just has a few extra bars of backing as opposed to singing.
Sean Hampsey Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 Bought as a new release and couldn't live without it. Sean 1
Daz Posted November 22, 2012 Author Posted November 22, 2012 wonderful record Daz, also came out on a 12" bizarrely Iwas supposed to be there shame i missed it. I'll be at the next one! Heard it was fantastic.
binsy Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 It was a fantastic evening Daz, the funny thing was that Graham(who runs the t shirt stall) said the Margie Alexander was his favourite record and that the night could only go downhill from here
Soul Shrews Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 wonderful record Daz, also came out on a 12" bizarrely Flipside is a dancer isn't it ? (Can't be arsed to find my 45 right now) Which would explain that. Love "What you Trying to Do To Me" Cheers Paul
John Reed Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 (edited) It's an okay funky type dancer similar to a lot of run of the mill tunes of the time, but nothing compared to the flip. That side hasnt spent much time "needle side up" in my house. Edited November 23, 2012 by John Reed
