Another ebay chancer me thinks, just won a great little cheapie from USA all of $3.75 and get the invoice for $13 postage. Now its probably still a slight (very) bargain at this price, but also a great record (will post up when I get it to see if it qualifies as a pop stomper).

However, my principals say he is chancing it, know this has been discussed before (tried a search but couldn't get anything) so was just wondering what advice was, my plan was a polite question on how he works this charge out, on item it just said overseas will be advised, so really should have checked in advance.

I won a batch of 10 records earlier this week on Ebay and the postage for that was $13. If a seller tries to charge me a ridiculous price on postage i point out that i too sell records and point out what it costs me to post an equivalent package to the states. So far each time the seller has reduced the cost to a reasonable amount.

I know USPS postal rates have just gone up, but I still think this is excessive. $7-8 for a single 45 would be more like it. Unscrupulous sellers ramp up the P&P charge to make extra as I believe that Ebay's cut of the final auction price doesn't take Postage & Packing into account. I'd definitely question the charges.

same for me. only had one problem, guy tried to charge me the earth for sending 3 lps, i refuswed to pay what he wanted and paid $10 instead, which was fair. he sent the records anyway and never asked for the other dough - he knew he was taking the piss

I won a 45 from USA last week and the seller charged me $5.00 shipping and an extra $5.00 for handling for an overseas transaction . Whats all that about!!! The only reason I paid up is because I'm brainless.

won 4 johnny taylor lps for 20$,bloke had an offer on free lp with each win,so now it was 5 lps,BUT he wanted 39$ postage

asked if he would keep 3 of the original 4 lps,as i only realy wanted one of them anyway,didnt want freebie lp either and i would pay him 10$ post

wouldnt do it,so told him to stick em up his ar*e
