Hi All

On an Okeh 45 Issue Copy !

Can anyone tell me if the matrix should be stamped in or were some that was scratched in !

Got a second issue also with small 45 and that as stamped in matrix which is whats making me suspicious !

Also it as a raised lip in vinyl to label !

Any help would be much appreciated - Many thanks - Ray

hi ray

Orig should have a large 45 and also matrix stamped in

sounds like you've got a factory reissue mate not a boot matrix would be etched in

:hatsoff2: HI LITTLE RICHARD "I DON'T WANT TO DISCUSSIT" UK COLUMBIA US OKeh, DAVE GODIN RIP was bemused that EMI put this great record as the B side, .....The first copy I had was of a JOY LP, Then I got a small 45 from CARLOWS, BEDFORD, A UK copy is the only way to own this one, mine is a G&W DEMO, RJM would give the best description me think?

What I was told about the small 45 OKeh, that they pressed by COLUMBIA SPECIAL PRODUCTS, that sounds right to me?

No mention of a bootlegged issue in either guide, only demos.

I know originals of "Too Late" exist with scratched in matrix as well as stamped so I suspect its original

Hiya Steve

Yes been talking to a pal who's clued up and he say's the same as you that the issue was never booted on Okeh only the the white demo and that matrix can be stamped or scratched !

Thanks for the reply - Ray
