Found this on ebay and thought hey ho ,thats a bargain ?

Now ,i do know there are two label variations on this ...and also know the difference between a re-issue and original .

But out of interest here .....can someone please look at the pic and then read the description and tell me what you think ??

Is he selling a real one or a re-issue ,is what i'm fishing for ?

Best of it is ..if it was real he would'nt be letting it go for $80 ...but a re-issue at $80 is fine Must be because it's rare and he's only ever seen two in as many yrs ....

so 472 is the boot 333 both font's are originals. so is the scan in the ebay ad his record that he is selling? if so he is selling an original?

That pic is like the one i had in early eighties...

Hasnt the reissue got a later catalogue number Nev but on a lookalike label??

It looks like a real one.Hes not doing himself any favours but i think he means it a bloody rare original and then states that even the reissue is hard to find!!!!

If it was'nt for the fact it's the same pic and wording taken from another sale ,listed on popsike a while back ..i would'nt have been suspicious ?

So i asked the guy why he's lifted it from popsike and asked if he has real photo of his actual copy ?

He replied that it's a rare re-issue and not the same as the pic ...and if it were a real one ,he would'nt be selling it at that price !

I think he is saying this is a hard to find original but the reissue is also hard to find :g:

I thought the re-issue was a different number? Is this a boot?

The number on his pic is the real deal Chalky ,which is why it's naughty ..and he knows it !

Some instances on those popsike results of people having paid top dollar for the so-called reissue. The original is pressed at the same plant as the All Platinum / Turbo / Stang records.

He has actually shown the reissue. The original has a different more fancy ampersand (&). The re-issues have a more block type.

It looks like someone got stung for $300 on a re!!

hi, he's shown the original pp333.....it came out with the two different style fonts....the boot has a similar box type font but has pp 472 cat number as mentioned previous

which makes the ad even more confusing and very naughty!

Very correcto Franc ...it's only the number that is the give away ..

Not many copies of the blocker lettering originals have turned up ,but as you rightly say ,they are real ones .

Seem to recall you offering one up for sale not too long ago ??

hi nev, my experience when it used to a cheapie was that i saw more block lettering ones!!

He has admitted he nicked the Popsike image and that his is a re-issue ,but for anyone who stumbles on his tempting buy it now price ,with his wording ..will get a rude surprise when it turns up .

When I enquired ,he said he is willing to sell to UK buyer ,but wants paying as a gift via a email address given :(

Be warned ..this is dodgy !

I saw the BIN after it ended, was sort of pissed, then read his description and was just confused.

Also, beware of the starbirth records motivation iv -- they are represses he just did recently
