Anyone remember who was that guy from L.A. (Mike?) that used to sell a lot of incredible rare northern via ebay ? He was,I think, the first, and perhaps (?) the only person to come up with The Prophets,in mint condition, and if I remember rightly,it finished at $8,000+ which was a tidy little sum back then, but of course, looking back now,it was a derisatory price !

Anyone got the story/background on his hoard, where did it all come from ? Was he a collector ? Just curious....I never forget anything

I dj'd with him Saturday before last He had a right skinfull, bit wobbly on his feet by the end of the night , but i think we had a good time. He Still played some decent choons, although i think the myth is getting a bit bigger than the legend. If anyones intersted i'll fill you in later Just mention it in a reply to topic I'm off to bed now.

DJ

I heard he had planned to collect and sell them all as a set but ended up selling them individually after people made offers on specific ones.

Thanks Pikey,DJ,Chalky, and BoBa, yu' know,as the mind wanders...as it does.... :shades: as I mentioned Shrine,I could'nt help to be amazed how despite the history of the outfit, label, burning down, kidnapped by the martiens, etc but nevertheless Shrine records have still popped up,maybe not "all over the place" but certainly in some significant numbers, example that springs to mind was the KR Baltimore haul of which he said there were 80 !! Ok well my curiosity asks what other significant Shrine finds were there ? Mike Noriega's Shrine auctions prompted this posting... :g:

From memory I seem to remember him being one or two short from the set, but they were the easier numbers to get.
