Steve Foran Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 Hi all Back in the day Rob Marriott was a frequent visitor and he introduced me to allsorts. Anyhow around 80/81 he gave me a tape with a tune on it. Found out later it was an acetate/studio thing/one off. Said to be Chris (Marke) Jackson. Due for release by Dave Godin maybe soul city or right on. The punchline was something like "For theres no doubt anymore" or something similar. Tried you tube cant unearth it. Seem to recall I Levine either discovering it or playing it maybe. Can any kind soul help please? Thanks Steve Foran.
Guest sharmo 1 Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 (edited) Hi Steve this is a good one , is it isn't it ? released that is .I think the track your looking for is called since there's no doubt which many believe to be a, a one off acetate , b, a one off test pressing , c , a few scant demo's or a general release that flopped.I'm convinced that Dereck Allen had this and he most certainly played it regulary on his spot that anyone in the east midlands can confirm. He showed it me a few times and looked to me like a regular issue .If you ask Chalkey on here i'm sure i'm right in thinking there was a few turned up one night at Stafford I'm not sure about it but in the cobweb's of my mind i seem to remember something like that happening regards Simon. Steve Foran Posted November 3, 2012 Author Posted November 3, 2012 Cheers Simon thank you. Had a PM saying it was Chris Jackson Since theres no doubt.Currently residing in Wolverhampton. Wont name the owner as it was a PM. Seems to be an acetate.
Chalky Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 It was a one off I thought? 444 label. Can't remember if it was actual release or test press/acetate. Didn't Dave Godin issue it on Soul City but withdraw it with some getting out?

Chalky Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 I have the sound file at home mate. Just at pictures at moment, just been mugged at food counter it's definitely been discussed before. Pretty sure there's some soul city 45s out there. Something tells me seen some white soul city 45 test press as well. 1
