Cheapsiderecords Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 Just got this from a show yesterday but noticed there is no colour on the ABC logo? Is this a re-issue? I only have a Canadian copy on Sparton so cannot compare. Not a rarity but I was going to throw it on ebay today
45cellar Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 This is my copy, I believe it has been re-issued.
Roburt Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 This 45 was quite a big US hit making both the national soul & pop charts (though only in lowely positions). With it selling to both black & white fans, I guess it had a few different pressings even back in 1966 & 1967 (it sold in both years).
Godzilla Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 Reissue that's supposedly limited to 500 copies. I guess technically that would make it rarer than the original. https://www.discogs.c...release/2184195
Cheapsiderecords Posted October 28, 2012 Author Posted October 28, 2012 Thanks for the responses. This is the 2nd re-issue I have picked up at local shows in the last 2 weeks. Hope the trend does not continue and the small 45 market here gets flooded with them.

Not a rarity but I was going to throw it on ebay today I thought you might like this French Stateside issue with a great Pic Sleeve but with a different but equally good flip IMO. . 3
Kris Holmes Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 (edited) the flip of that also came out on it's own ABC 45, b/w Hopelessly. that French Stateside is a nice pairing. Edited October 29, 2012 by Kris Holmes
Guest Polyvelts Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 Slightly off topic. Apologies. But you could do a lot worse than spend your readies on this great cheapie !!!
Kris Holmes Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 nice, don't have that one. there are so many great cheap Ray Charles sides on ABC. I must have at least 20 different ones & just stopped picking them up because enough is enough. Essentially anything Jimmy Lewis or Jimmy Holiday related by Ray from this period can be bought blindly (no pun intended) & will mostly end up being great.
Soul-slider Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 Just purchased that 'Tired Of My Tears' (flip to 'What Am I Living For') off Gemm on the back of this thread. Cheers for posting polyvelts!
