Pete S Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 Amazes me some records just never, ever turn up, but are still only listed at like £15 or £20...one I'm thinking of in particular is the US issue of Fifth Dimension - Train keep moving, on Soul City. I've only ever had this record once in 30 years of collecting!
Guest Baz Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 Been after a Vicky Styles - Tears star falling on odex for bloody years, only listed in Tim Browns at £40 hummm i'll have ten copys at that price
Marc Forrest Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 Just wait until one of them so called "cheapies" gets hyped and makes the 200+ USD region on ebay and watch how they start coming out of the dark...

Guest noss Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 I'm still after Otis Redding 'These Arms of Mine' on Volt 103 original issue. There are many deep soul records which are very hard to find but command reasonable prices
Garethx Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 Great tune from a major artist on a major label that never turns up: Bobby Womack: "Baby, I Can't Stand It" on Minit. You see literally thousands of copies of his other Minit singles, but I've only ever seen a couple of these in twenty years: one issue; one demo. Obtained the issue last week via a mate from a collector in the Midlands: price £5.00.

Blake H Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 Know what you mean. I've just got Jimmy Bailey "Everytime" Columbia from Manny after several years chasing it and it was only £15, bargain BH
Guest Netspeaky Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 Once upon a time, I was looking for the Tams "Hey Girl Don't Bother Me" on US ABC, no one could help me, but everyone had a copy of Frank Beverly that night selling at around £18-£20, amazing at the time.
