I can't get away...

How can I spot a boot and a real one?

run out groove scratched in

65-1037a

vocal

a59636

i think its a boot but better check

many thanks

According to JM's boot guide the fake is a White Demo it has 65-1037a FAINTLY scratched in like the one you are talking about, BUT the Original has the delta stamp 59636.

Fake is Vinyl, real one is generally Styrene, with a stick on label.

Not much help.

See you Friday Mischief.

I've got a copy with a purple label on styrene.....anybody got any info?

Yes, I've had the purple one a couple of times and I think it's pukka. All the markings are right, and the sound quallity is great. Phil.

I seem to remember copies of "The Duck" on purple too.

The Duck definitely on Purple Issue - I am under the impression that these were first issues.

I will find my copy and scan it in.

I have quite a bit of Mirwood stuff including Bobby Garrett - DEMO & Issue

I will have a look A.S.A.P. for Matrix, scans, etc

When collecting Mirwood you do tend to come across Dark Blue, Lighter Blue labels.

When I can I try to obtain different label variations sometimes too pricey.

Some DEMOS are slightly different design.

I have The Duck - White Demo which is a different label design.

An early disappointment for me was to find that the White Demo for 5511 Didn't have My Little Girl on.

The only copies that I have seen have Big Brother on both sides - in an attempt to complete the label I bought it anyway.

Most other DEMO's are A & B on Mirwood

HI Mischief

Managed to scan a copy of mine, it is a dark blue, with the marks 65-1037 A, "VOCAL", A 59636 (Though the A is more like a triangle.) Same on the B side thought it has "INSTRUMENTAL" instead of "VOCAL"
