Daniel Harvey
Hey Jonathan, Would be worth giving either of these records shops an email https://www.northsiderecords.com.au/ https://licoricepie.com/ Both are in Melbourne and I have seen this 45 in both shops in the last few months...actually had 4 or 5 copies at Northside...all very cheap. I'm pretty sure this is an Aussie only 45, but it does turn up in numbers. Found 5 of them last year. Another idea would be to try Aussie ebay as this often goes through pretty cheap.....shouldn't be an expensive record for mine. Good luck. Link to comment Social source share

Not the almost impossible to locate original first version which was released - and quickly withdrawn - by RCA Australia a year earlier than the well known later release that you are referring to. The first version is a completely different rawer, more soulful take recorded in Australia whereas the later version was recorded in LA with Frank Wilson. One was the same as the LP cut and the other was a little different and it did come with an RCA promo stamped sleeve....but to mind, not especially better....think I've had a couple of both. plenty of Aussie stuff which I can't find no matter where I look, but just don't see this 45 , particularly the LP version, as being a hard record to find.
