Morris Jefferson " It's the last time around for me"

Cheap & soulful just like we like 'em!

Absoutely wonderful Clarence Johnson production from 1977. Betty Caldwell on lead vocals sounding remarkably like Patti Hamilton.

Coffee - Your lovin' ain't as good as mine - Love Lite

One of my all time favourites , went to Soul Bowl in the late 70's (I Think  ) got this for £6 , Edward Hamilton - Baby Don't You Weep - £8 and The Ideals - Mighty Lover - £6 - and was earning a lot less a week than that !!!

HAROLD MELVIN - GET OUT - LANDA

Top Choon imho of course :hatsoff2:

Really liked the Pretenders record Just Be Yourself - a Poke spin from Clifton Hall. I understand it had been played previously - maybe the Mecca but that was before my time. Anyway I digress and have never owned that record. However, got one of these - old and battered, and worthy of a spin.

The Pretenders - I Call It Love

Being a bit greedy with another offering I guess. Something a bit different - might have even posted it before. From one of the first albums I ever bought - the wonderful Teddy Pendergrass - Greatest Inspiration. I'm not sure why I thought of this - but hey, what a voice. You keep lifting me higher, higher, keep on lifting me higher, higher.

A beautiful, beautiful record. Stunning.

:hatsoff2: HI ALL. SOME PEOPLE ARE FINDING THINGS GETTING HARD AT THE MOMENT? (WHAT TURNS YOU ON! I SAY). BUT IT'S A SAD FACT THAT THIS WILL NOT BE A GOOD CHRISTMAS MONEY WISE, TO-NIGHT AT 3am THE CHRISTMAS RUN IN THREAD WILL START, AS ALWAYS THIS CURRENT THREAD HAS BEEN THE MOST SUCSESSFUL BY FAR, THANKS TO 6 MEMBERS WHO KEEP COMING UP WITH QUALITY TUNES, SO WITHOUT NAMING THEM CAN I SAY WELL DONE, SO THINK ABOUT THE GOOD PARTY TUNES OLD AND NEW, REMEMBER THIS IS NOT AN EXCLUSIVE NORTHERN SOUL ONLY THREAD, BUT RECORDS THAT HAVE SOUL, THEY COULD COME FROM THE STATES JAMAICA UK OR ANY WHERE AS LONG AS THEY ARE NOT HEAVY ROCK OR HIPPY STUFF?

ONCE AGAIN KEEP ON KEEPING ON, DAVE K AKA DTHEDRUG,

For some reason I always thought this was an LP only track as it had no US 7" release.

Was pleased to find it on a UK 45 last week, especially for a fiver!

Aretha Franklin - Dont let me lose this dream
