You have some very, very handsome records Sean. I like the look of that. Mm, just noticed it was produced by Eugene Record - must be the same Over Dose of Joy guy - that's a nice record too.

All my records are gorgeous Peter.

Yes, it is produced by the Wonderful Eugene Record mate. He of 'Overdose Of Joy and The Chi-Lites fame.

He was also the Husband of the late Barbara Acklin.

Together they wrote the classic 'Have You Seen Her' and many more.

We are talking Soul Music Royalty, with Mr Record mate.

A Genius.

hi, i'm sure ( i could be wrong ) i saw one on ebay once that looked more like the uk mca lable, i think it was a demo of some sort.

it went for just over £100 but it was a few years back now,

joe.

Didn't see that Joe.

No UK MCA copy or anything resembling it to my knowledge.

You might be talking about one of the 2-3 known copies of the Oz 45.

I got mine off eBay but it must be nearer 12 years ago

hi sean,

sorry i didn't mean a uk copy ,

i meant an aussie one that looked more like a uk copy,

the dark and light blue one.

i bought a record off the guy and he asked me why the tony drake ( i was well outbid ) went for so much,

i told him it was a rare one ( the first i had ever seen to be honest ) and rarer than the usa demo or issue.

don't think tony drake was so in demand back then,

joe.

It is a rare one on Aussie release, but I think its eclipsed by Nolan Porter on Pink Probe, 3 known copies of that from a single find. I Know 7 or 8 people with Tony Drake... and there are sure to be loads more out there..

tell you what does look nice is the Garland Green releases on the Aussie Blue MCA.. have all those, I Just need the LP 'Jealous Kinda Fella' on Aussie to complete..
