Pete S Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 I thought I had suspicious transactions going on in paypal today, 20 plus entries, all of which were fee reversals! Over £300 credited to my account. I thought I'd better ask them what happened. When you used to request a quick withdrawal, you were charged £5 for the service. They have now done away with that and refunded all of those £5 fees back to january. Nice! 2
Mick Holdsworth Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 I've never paid a fee as I always transfer over £50 at any time, but it looks like they must have scrapped the fee and therefore scrapped minimum transfer amount. This is probably connected to Paypal now doing instant transfers to UK Bank Accounts. Before, you had to wait 3 or 4 days for it to be in your account. (this is with unconfirmed bank accounts, it might well have been instant transfer for confirmed bank accounts for a long time, I don't know). Good to know. I never had any correspondence from them about this, would have thought they'd have shouted it all over the place. I would. Cheers Mick
Monkey Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Yes I noticed this the other day, previously a normal fund withdrawal could take days possibly a week, the funds are literally now transfered fee free into your account within minutes. If they are refunding fees does it possibly mean someone has made a challenge to the legality of the previous set up?
Dylan Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Thats an added bonus then. I have noticed you don't have to wait days for cash to show in bank now it goes in within a couple of hours which is very good. I've never transferred less than 50 and paid for fast transfer so there will be no refunds here.
JOE TORQUAY Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 BET THE FEES FOR SOMETHING ELSE WILL GO UP TO MAKE UP FOR THIS ( CHANGE IN THE LAW I GUESS ?? ) WON'T THEY
boba Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 could be lawsuit related. paypal got sued for holding people's money illegally. could be a side point in the class action suit.
