Guest leeham987 Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 Hi I'm pretty sure this is a bootleg, just wanting some validation? found at a carboot for a tenner. Thanks in advance
Pete S Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 It is. USA style centre. No anti-slip milling around the edge of the label. No stamped in matrix number.
Guest leeham987 Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 Thanks would love the original, its one of my favourites.
Pete S Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 Isnt it a UK issue anyway. It is. Which is why I mentioned that bootleg having a USA large centre.
Paul Dunn Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 It is. Which is why I mentioned that bootleg having a USA large centre. It was booted with UK type solid centre as well
Barry Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 One of the boots I bought as a 14 year old that struggle as I might I cannot get rid of. Pure Northern Soul.

Pete S Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 It was booted with UK type solid centre as well That's the same as the one pictured but it hasn't been dinked, they are from the same batch, not many didn't have the centres knocked out - but same rules apply as I said in my first post.
dthedrug Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 HI ALL...This is a real fave of mine, to-days value?? how much do you think? it comes from the hat day of the NORTHEN SCENE massive record at Peterborough/St Ives also at WIGAN, not 100% but I think this was a BEDFORD find that was played at the Howard Mallet then at EASC All-nighters then at Wigan, To have a copy in the 7T's was hard enough as this superb record could only be obtained by going out and about to every junk shop that you could find. The record is sort after by UK & US SOUL COLECTORS as it had no US release, The BOOTLEGS are as Pete described, all the BOOTS did was to make the record even more harder to find, although it was not played for awhile in 84 it was revived and up went the price, My copy is VG+ Paid £20 at the 100 CLUB on a rare visit! alTHOUGH NOT FOR SALE it's value is £200+ a mint copy I would expect to go for £350+ I am sure someone will disagree with me? Is it a SOUL RECORD.??....maybe not but it is a CLASSIC MORTHERN SOUL RECORD!..OH YES!! DAVE K RATED ***** 1
