went to a northern soul event on new years eve and heard a song with the chorus " there's a house for sale and you can move in right away" but dont know anything about the track except that I loved it. Absolutely right....House for Sale- from the 1976 LP "Free and in love"

Released as a 7" on Spring records and is still available at about £ 8-10, It was the last time I saw it !!

to be honest can't remeber which was which when hear it nowadays

theres also a slow version by (I think) first choice on one of their flips

First Choice did do a version on their LP I think and Connie Laverne also recorded a track House For Sale, not sure if one and the same tho'.

Went to see Millie Jackson about 1980/81 and we shouted out for her to sing this and My Man A Sweet Man and boy did she get pissed off!!!!

She into her heavy rapping, long monologues and sex stuff at the time and didnt appreciate us requesting " that crap "
