Guest soulboy62 Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 Hiya First time poster here on this Forum. Was hoping somebody could help me valuing my copy of Night Owl by Bobby Paris. Not a collector but have had it since the late 70’s/ early 80’s and thinking of selling it. I’ve tried to value it using ebay or other sites, but the only pics I can find are ones where the label is red. As you can see from the pic mine is blue. Also, the copyright date is 1960 (which is earlier than the release dates I’ve seen talked about). Anybody help me out with an approximate valuation? Many thanks Soulboy62
Pete S Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 (edited) That's a bootleg I'm afraid. £5 on a good day. The copyright date refers to the Cameo Record Company, not the Bobby Paris 45 incidentally. Edited October 15, 2012 by Pete S

Prophonics 2029 Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 Or trade it in for the UK issue with Lorraine chandler on the other side. Out of interest dosn't each copy have a different end...one fade out and the other a sudden stop?.

Out of interest dosn't each copy have a different end...one fade out and the other a sudden stop?. Yeah the original 45 fades out but when it was reissued in 1977 on London, they used a master tape which didn't fade out and as you say, stops suddenly. I think they used that on the SOS bootleg too.
Prophonics 2029 Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 Thanks Pete and Trevor. A little f@?k up.

Pete S Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 Where do you live SB62 ???? Gulp!!!! that's not even enough for a night out where I live. You're right, tough record to sell - probably books about £125 but more likely to get around £80 for it.
