Here's a video with the EP in question. Anyone ever seen one?

No, not seen that. From the YouTube picture It looks like a later press, 70's or even later - Might have been a sampler for a "Best Of" type LP. Was it on a later LP than Sophisticated Soul?

I've never seen that either Mick, not listed on Don't Forget The Motor City or any other list I can view right now.

Yes, can't view the clip at work, so can't say if it's the same one.

It looked right enough to me, but then what do I know ? :)

It's on the YouTube page .... www.youtube.com/watch?v=J2UHmlkPAEk ... Just uploaders comments really.

The video does show a bit more detail of the label, although you may go blind if you try to read the track listing. Cant see a list number there, but it's so bluury, i could be wrong.

Cheers

Cheers Paul.

I don't recall ever seeing one. The YouTube clip (I could only see the picture and not play the clip) didn't do it justice.

And I suppose it begs the question of how many more of those promo e.p's were produced for other albums ??

A Shorty Long one would be nice.

Wow!! how nice is that, some things are just dam pretty.

Got a white demo of the lp about 8 years ago without the sleeve. Bought a knacked issue Lp for a dollar and used the sleeve from that for my demo Lp

Early Wigan classic......I have one which I got for about £6. Came from Australia and it was still in the shrink wrap!

How does a Detroit album land in Australia and never even gets opened never mind played? 44 years old and it looks absolutely perfect, even the inner sleeve with all the album adverts is totally mint.

Can't see that EP going for the same now as one on Popsike in 2008. I reckon add at least a 1 to the front!!

I could see it going for that. It's an under the radar item and there isn't a huge demand / rush for it. Stuff like that tends to go cheap on ebay.

I found a near mint UK copy of that album over here in Japan!

Would like to see a valuation guide for UK Tamla-Motown albums...are there any on the net?

Heheh!! I'd love it, but a bit over the top on price for me.

Ditto..............high starting price Paul, not always a good idea.

Best starting at the lowest you're willing to sell for, and I know it sounds risky, but items starting at 99p invariably sell for more than items with a high start price. As they say in the auction business it's a 'come and get me'
