Tai-pan Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 I know its been asked before, but does anyone know, where I can get some high quality white card sleeves 7". Covers 33, Juno etc all seem to do the cheap flimsey variety. Someone in the UK must stock the good stuff, but who?? Any suggestions appreciated, Thanks, Andy
Tiberius Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 I use soundswholesale and am happy with their card sleeves, although I can't say if they're any better than the suppliers you mention having never tried sleeves from those stores.
Andreas B Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 jazzman sells some that seem nice, as well as lots of colored inner sleeves
Amsterdam Russ Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 I've tried both and Sounds Wholesale are the one for me: https://www.soundswholesaleltd.co.uk/acatalog/7__WHITE_CARD_RECORD_SLEEVES.html
Russoul1 Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 got some from covers 33 recently, which are defo better quality heavier card than i have had in the past, might be worth trying even though you have mentionrd them

Guest Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 I use soundswholesale too. Good quality thick sleeves and slightly cheaper through Ebay: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/50-7-WHITE-CARD-RECORD-SLEEVES-MASTERBAGS-COVERS-/360459172496?pt=UK_Home_Garden_CD_DVDStorage_SM&hash=item53ed0a7a90
Monkey Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 "COVERS 33" don't waste your time if you want your shipment this year, they use second class royal mail for delivery on smaller orders which in this internet age of enhanced expectation feels like a decade.
Quinvy Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Andy, this is something I have asked many times and I've tried everywhere with no luck. I even ordered some from the states, cost me a fortune and they were rubbish. Before I packed in collecting I even thought about getting some custom made. I once got a 45 from a Japanese seller which was inside the best card white sleeve I have ever seen, I still have it and would have loved some more of that type. Jazz man do brilliant inner sleeves, but their card ones are the usual crap.
AlanB Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Is it Covers 33 that goes to the VIP record fairs. Use bright yellow carrier bags?
Guest brivinyl Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 The thickness and quality of the cardboard sleeves has got worse down the years. The ones available in the early seventies were nearly three times thicker than any that are available now, they were also wide enough to easily put the record inside in the company sleeve.
