Sammy Seaman Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 can anybody give me some idea what price would a mainstream white demo in ex+ condition be ? cheers sammy
Mike Lofthouse Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 - I might be wrong but I thought the demos were double sided mono/stereo of the other side. Back when it was a new release a mate tried getting half a dozen from the US - it was not easy back in those days - and when they were arrived they were the other side! The two copies I've had have been issues. Never really seen the attraction of 70's double sided demos - you normally miss out on another often better track IMHO. Mike 2

Guest trickbag Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 I am the original artist that wrote and recorded this song on Mainstream records for Bob Shad and Victor Carew. I never got paid and from the information I have gathered someone was using my name and appearing as me. I also recorded I Need Some and Everyone Has Some One. Anyone with information or still using my music and my I.D, and associated with Eddie Billups or The Soul Express Band please e-mail me @divinediva@tampabay.rr.com. Thanks meblackgal 2 years ago here's the quote Sammy from YouTube ricky.

Mike I actually thought this too, only ever seen that number as demos with the other side on both sides (???). Obviously given scan posted I'm wrong too. Bought this on Bradford market and had it ever since, nice tune should be played out more. Kegsy 1

Remember Ian Levine re-activated it during his 'Rocket' days - and it was discussed a bit on ANS at the time. I was never sure it was even a Mecca spin back in the day but I have seen it listed on several retrospective 'lists' of Mecca spins Mike
