Ray Copley Posted September 19, 2012 Author Posted September 19, 2012 Hi Ricky Thanks for the info - I also could only find info on the 12" Disco version or the album but have been told the 7" is quite rare and hard to find so was hoping someone might know a little bit about it ! Regards & Thanks - Ray
Benji Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 Gregg Diamond isn't hard to find. May not turn up every day but surely not rare. pricewise: it used to be around 40 quid but I guess you won't get more than 10/15 for it nowadays. Brilliant track IMO, Luther Vandross on lead vocals if you didn't know that already. 1

If youve got it dont sell it....great record as Benji says with the late Luther on it. Steve 1
Guest MrC Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 So what's the Chubby Checker worth? You can get a cameo parkway one pretty cheap these days, but it's nice to have something that little bit different
Pete S Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 So what's the Chubby Checker worth? You can get a cameo parkway one pretty cheap these days, but it's nice to have something that little bit different Really hard to price. It looks great and is going to be ultra-ultra-rare, but you have to find a buyer for it. We've all had interesting overseas releases which we had big hopes for (e.g. I had a Belgian American Poets) but it really is a minority interest. Took me ages to sell the Italian Chapter Five! I couldn't put a price on the Chubby Checker, I'd invite offers I think. 1
Guest allnightandy Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 Chubby Checker , I got a Cameo Parkway British copy in mint condition for £5 about two years ago off Ebay love the words and under played IMO

It's the slightly harder to find copy (imo) with "Paradise" on the flip (PD ?, I didn't note the label # but probably same as the white demo PD 14525), instead of the usual "Chains" (PD 2195), which is probably your £10-£15 range at a guess. White demo 45 with long/short version more than £20?? EDIT - As a point of interest, for whatever reason the PD 14525 release acknowledges the involvement of Luther Vandross, the label credits "Gregg Diamond Bionic Boogie Featuring Luther Vandross", the other 45 just credits "Gregg Diamond Bionic Boogie".
