What's a fair price? £15?

You said it

It's had a few plays up't North, and as a result has gone to fifty English pounds on one dealers website. thumbsup.gif

This is brilliant (IMO  )

New to me & took me a few plays to really get into it.

Superb example of the Gospel Crossover genre - whatever that is. Think Harold Melvin on steroids.

Hope you enjoy it - all comments welcome

Colin, would you be so kind to keep your new discoveries to yourself in future?

I have this on a tape given to me by that nice man Mr Franklin from Sheffield, not forgetting the wonderful 2nd Anniversary Soulsville CD. I'd hate to think you exposing it to the world may push up the price a tad, before I manage to secure myself a vinyl copy! thumbsup.gif

P.S. Are you going to The Castle on the 27th?

Christ!

....always been about a £20 top-er. That said Craig Moerer's got a few at $30. Remember Snowboy bigging this in his top ten in Big Daddy somewhere in the dim and distant past, which inspired a temporary rush maybe 5 years back. Bit 'funky' that one :P:P:thumbsup:wink.gif

I subscribe to the publish & be damned group, so the answer to the first question is no!

Phenomenal record. I bought one of these off Soul Bowl in the mid 80s after Tim Brown had enthusiastically reviewd the other side in Black Beat... think it cost about two quid then (this was before Ovide was seen as a label to collect in any way). Couldn't see what the fuss was about that, but flipped it over and found this titanic tune on the reverse. I've loved it ever since and quite seriously consider it to be one of the greatest soul records ever made.
