Godzilla Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 (edited) **New additions added 21st Sept half way down list** All records are original first issue unless stated. All are good strong Ex unless otherwise noted and many are Mint - more details available on request Feel free to also ask for scans, clips, deadwax markings etc and I'll happily provide them. Ask me anything in fact - although I'm a bit crap with sports questions if I'm honest. I'm interested in trading for hard funk, library/soundtrack 45s, funky gospel or even folk/funk - NOT any of the stuff that's currently called 'funky northern' and I'm not after crossover, modern soul, boogie or disco. *** see bottom of post for examples** I'd prefer like for like swaps price-wise rather than being offered lots of cheaper stuff for £20+ records, although I won't rule anything out. Let me know what you have. I'll also take offers on these 45s but trade is my preference so no trying to cherry pick please. Memphis Nomads - Don't Pass Your Judgement - Stax (vg wol plays ok) Wendy Rene - Bar-B-Q - Stax Traded! Frank Howard - Judy - Excello (a side is lovely / flip has wol and paper residue on vinyl) Donald Lee Richardson - You Got Me In The Palm Of Your Hand - Soulville Sold! Music Track - Times Gone By (the old Yvonne Baker Band: Don't Say a Word c/u) - International Artists vg++ (a little ringwear) Spindles - Ten Shades Of Blue - ABC issue Toni Lamarr - Just In The Nick Of Time - Buddah (bb hole) Traded! Bobby Hutton - I've Got A Memory - Philips Celestrals - Checkerboard lover - Don El (vg+ with scuffs and heavy wol but plays fine) Harold Andrews - Since I Talk To My Baby - HLS Clyde McPhatter - Stop - Mercury Promo (vg++) Benny Troy and The Maze - I Don't Know You Anymore - 20th Century promo (excellent semi-known) Louis Curry - I'll Try Tomorrow / A Toast To You - MS (vg plays ok) Traded! Maybe I should have been more specific about the kind of 45s I want so here's a list to give an idea it's not exhaustive - I just want to swap cheap Northern for cheap funk and more expensive Northern for more expensive funk. Please let me know if you have anything in this vein. All the People — Cramp Your Style Living Color — Plastic People Mickey + Soul Generation — Iron Leg Jimmy Castor Bunch — It's Just Begun Warm Excursion - Funk-i-tus Honey Drippers — Impeach the President Eddie Bo/Inez Cheatham — Lover and a Friend Spaghetti Head — Funky Axe Robert Moore - Everything's Gonna Be All Right Johnny Pate — You Can't Even Walk in the Park (Spain 45) Jean-Pierre Mirouze - Le Mariage Collectif (Spain reissue) Tony Alvon + Belairs - Sexy Coffee Pot (issue only) and so on.... Godzilla Posted September 21, 2012 Author Posted September 21, 2012 (edited) Hi about 10 years ago, was the right time to find much of your wants, since then world Music, libary & soundtracks have gone through the roof especially KPM 45s. price are high, I have a couple of decent places you can try (if they still exist) also quite a few bits have been reissued, my advice chevk first? I think the KPM demand is mostly LP based to be honest Dave. Hopefully I've made it clear in my post that I'm not trying to get bargains by hoodwinking people who are naive about markets other than Northern Soul. I just want to do fair deals where I can exchange Northern 45s for funk/library and soundtrack 45s of a similar value. I'll be updating the list later tonight too as some items have been exchanged already and I have more to add. Big thanks to all who've contacted me and for the deals done so far. If you're awaiting a response you'll get one tonight. Cheers Paul (now updated - see above) Edited September 21, 2012 by Godzilla
