boba Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Hi. As usual I apologize for the delay in putting my radio shows online. I have two new music shows online from the past two weeks. On September 2nd, I had special guest collector Elaine Wade play selections -- you can listen to her show at https://www.sittinginthepark.com/9-2-2012.mp3? Unfortunately I have misplaced the playlist she took the time to write out for me (which is strange since it's hard to lose anything in my clutter-free apartment). I'm sure she'll send it to me which I can forward to you if you request it (or I can include it in a future email). Last Sunday I did my own music show; I played some funkier tracks than I usually play (there still were lots of nice ballads). You can listen to that show at https://www.sittinginthepark.com/9-9-2012.mp3? You can listen to other music shows and all of my interviews at my main page www.sittinginthepark.com. Playlist follows at the bottom of the page and thanks again for your continued interest. Also, if you know someone who wants to be added to my radio show announcements list, they can sign themselves up at: https://eepurl.com/n7Qr5 I hope you enjoy the shows! 9/9/2012 Burning Desire - You must do your best - Charisma The 21st - I can't forget your name - Joy Billy Anthony - Right on - Tank ? - ? - Unmarked Keel test pressing Benny Latimore - I'll be good to you - Dade Soul Emotions - that's the kind of man - Soul Emotions and Company Edwards Generation - I need you only - Tight [i meant to play the other side but the labels are reversed...] Esquires - Everybody's laughing - Bunky Brothers of Soul - Try it babe - Shock Rayfield reid and the Magnificents - Treat you right - Ken-Tone 4th Generation - Walking on a cloud - Debroussard Del Capris - Our love (it ain't the same no more) - Silver Dollar Brother Scott and Co - Our love is growing - BSC Cloudburst - Next time - SMS Beige - Give her up - Loretta Coast to Coast - Paula Marie - Multi-Sound Cermakk and Doug Shorts - Love's gone wrong - Cherries Bonnie Pointer - I wanna make it (in your world) - Motown Something Unique - This feeling - Sheridan House
NEV Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Nice set Bob ,as usual I must confess though ...I had a little chuckle at your wording ..Edwards generation ...played the wrong side ,labels reversed ... Followed by " everybody's laughing " Honest Bob ...we weren't .lol

It's an unreleased Stone Lady cut, based on the deadwax and the david sheffield record I also got at the same time. You bid me up on it and the seller offered it to me after they said there was no response from you. Thanks I guess. Deadwax is SL 11 and SL 12. I don't know what 9/10 would have been either but it probably would have been the last stone lady release.

You could have been in the hospital for all I knew, or in a mission to india helping people with leprosy. I just stated what the seller said and did, I have no idea what you did after bidding. I'm glad to get it, but it was a little more than I would have liked to pay. Thanks.

Thanks. in that case just bid less in the future. and no need to thank me, youre welcome. leprosy..you do come along with some really weird thoughts sometimes.
boba Posted September 17, 2012 Author Posted September 17, 2012 If you're going to get defensive like I'm attacking you when I'm not, why did you bring up the topic of that record? What did you want me to say? I explained how I got the record and it didn't involve any accusations toward you. Anyways, the other side of that test press sucks, it sounds like a totally different artist. I also got a test press from the same seller of David Sheffield on Stone Lady 003, but it has a different flip than the released 003. But it wasn't good. Thanks. p.s. working with lepers is the most famous / cliched thing that people do when they go do missionary work, Mother Theresa did it. It was not a random reference. I was joking that you might have been doing the charity work in a place without electricity and that's why you didn't have access to email. It again was not attacking you. If I wanted to attack you it would be much clearer.
Mister Fish Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Nice show again Bob. Like the Soul Emotions a lot. Did you get that Sunshine 45?
boba Posted September 18, 2012 Author Posted September 18, 2012 Nice show again Bob. Like the Soul Emotions a lot. Did you get that Sunshine 45? yeah, the a-side of the sunshine 45 is an instrumental version of the capricorns on phoenix. the b-side is an ok midtempo 70s sounding female group thing, not fast enough to be a DJ cut though.
Recordlurv Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 would love a tracklist for the first show some fab tracks on there aswell as the one on the 09/09
