Has he got a slot in the top of his head to put money in? Of course this is just a copy - the original issues had B-A-R-N-A-D-O-E-S in the run out groove round the base.

i just had a thought. the guy could make a series. imagine, like lilliput lane, you could have 10 different guys all stood around a record box and even one of richard and the decks. wow, that would look cool on your china cabinet to show your friends. OMG

Who the hell buys all this "tat" from the ever increasing "tat" mountain. The music is, & will always be fabulous but the circus that the Northern Soul Scene has now become I find very sad - the best "memorabilia" is in our heads. I don't need a 24 piece dinner service to remind me that I like Tamla Motown !!!

Strewth......Look at this on eBay:

Northern Soul record art sculpture figure bundle collection

https://bit.ly/Q3gr7Z

god that really is tat isn't it... made me giggle though; its the sort of thing my mum used to buy from fates on a Saturday, she would just like the figurine, but would likely have no idea of the context.. I think this chaps trying to market his creations in the wrong place... he should target the WI.

The bid Ive just seen is for one pound four pence!!!!! Who the hell would be mad enough to pay that much as it will cost according to the blurb another four pounds to post. I think soul source .com should bid for it in order to then smash it to bits and to record this demolition in either video or photographs to then be shown on a special thread of its own on this Rare soul forum, all our yesterdays now merged forum. this forum.I for one would like to see this done,it might even cost around seven quid with postage to make it happen.Sure any one of us on here could do the same buy, smash, display but coming from the site itself that would mean oh so much more. What about it chalky and co?

You can do a billy woods on us,it is only a few months away till christmass.

As a recent returner I first saw the "Tat mountain",some months ago, it didnt really sink it at first then through the night due to stategic placement you couldnt help walk past not " theres that... but .."Wats dat ...mountain therefore noticing more of wehat was for sale, this was the first time ever for me as a tat mountain viewer and it was a strange experience, fake street signs of "Hose street, large "torch wall plates, pyramids of cups, and badges galore, pens, keyrings etc etc,I was only puzzled as to why no one was shouting "Two for the price of one (NOT THE RECORD)or apples ,peaches,pumpk...copies for sale.Pleased to say the buy some of this " tat on a moutain of slop",were doing a real snails pace of trade.I guess this must tad mountain thing must have been going on for some years now, well if it makes someone an honest living!!!Do you become used to it after a while like a sewer works you drive by each day on the way to work but now and again you leave the car window open and it hits you ",uuh whats that shit ,oh its just the tat mountain". Going back now that the dust is shaking a bit from the old memory lane I can remember a st ives all nighter around 76,77 may well have been the "twisted wheel revival night",where a seller of tat must have palned off lods and loads of those bright greenish luminous wrist bands and loads of folk were wearing them in the that dark pit at the bottom of the abbyss the known as the oldies room which added imo even more to the always around that period in time atmosphere of the oldies room with Brian,Rae,vincent, smudge ,rug and the others behind the decks. That though is the only time I can remember utter tat conributing to the festivities, good on you even all those years down the line you seller of wristband tat you.ery much.

ps ,Silly me ,now I know what the yellow beat up and dirty three wheeler parrked in the car park was doing there?

Someone I know was so impressed with my photographs of me destroying the Carstairs 45 in various dastardly ways that he sent me a £5 note with a message asking me to destroy a copy of Barnaby Bye and make sure I take photos.

I am not kidding.

I haven't done it yet.

That must take dedication to wear your legs down like that, I thought I used to be bad with continual re souls and wear outs of shoes, but your legs .hell thats dedication,What do you think waqs he was a shuffler or a stomper?if a shuffler he would have done the wearing down sandpaper on wood continuos rub, rub, rub a dub, style if he was a stomper it would have been more the piledriver, road hammer, thump, thump a dee thump clap thump non stop percussion wear down, whatever he sure must have done a lot of it.I would say he was a wigan man,so perhaps both stlyes .stomp and shufffle with a bias towards more stomp than shuffle. At any point do you think he noticed the erosion and just thought ,oh well what the phoo ket,in for a penny in for a pound.
