Dave Moore Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 I know which took me the longest to find in good nick - The Impression WDJ. By a country mile too. The President copy may fetch more in cash terms but I know which one I'd rather have. Regards, Dave
Premium Stuff Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 Plus that Impression WDJ looks top class Richard
pikeys dog Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 Always been puzzled by the Impression issue as it's got a different title and writing and production credits. Presumably this was done in an attempt to divert the royalties elsewhere?
Ged Parker Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 Always been puzzled by the Impression issue as it's got a different title and writing and production credits. Presumably this was done in an attempt to divert the royalties elsewhere? It's also 19 seconds longer too.
Dave Moore Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 Impression is the first issue. Is the writer on the Impression 45 (B Horton), Bill Horton of The Silhouettes perchance anyone know? Regards, Dave

Amsterdam Russ Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 Is the writer on the Impression 45 (B Horton), Bill Horton of The Silhouettes perchance anyone know? Regards, Dave No, it's not.
Dave Moore Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 No, it's not. Thanks for clarifying. Regards, Dave
Tlscapital Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 I did once had an Impression home and didn't kept it. It was low-fi in comparaison of the Jerhart and the tune was just not there anymore. The Jerhart just like the UK President one blow the speaker from the first note. So I just kept my Jerhart instead. Is it also the case also with your Impression copy ? Meaning, are they all like that ? Tim
Guest Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 The copy on Al Benson`s MICA label has a "rougher", slightly un-polished cut to it and is 2 mins 31 seconds.Unfortunately you dont get the same brilliant flip but are compensated by Roy Wright`s - Hook Line& Sinker.

Amsterdam Russ Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 My copy on the Impression label also plays perfectly. Probably the rarest format of this is the Jerhart white label test press.
Guest Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 My copy on the Impression label also plays perfectly. Probably the rarest format of this is the Jerhart white label test press. I just sold mine the other week on the bay, in fact, I just checked and its listed on popsike.
Guest Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Impression yellow stocker would probably trump them all...apart from maybe a Jerhart test press (would like to see pic!).
Amsterdam Russ Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Impression yellow stocker would probably trump them all...apart from maybe a Jerhart test press (would like to see pic!). Nothing to see - it's just on a plain white label. Chap I got mine from says he found two or three of 'em in a 25 count box he picked up Stateside donkey's years ago.
Ernie Andrews Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 My Impression Issue - Has the labels reversed- Have to be careful and listen when cuing up or I could be lazy and put the Mica copy on. Anyone seen a Mica demo?
