Mach Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 did anybody bid on that Billy Miranda? Brilliant rare record but that huge scratch that went straight across into the label, put me off, even though the flip side looked ok..but £455 for a vg
Dave Pinch Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 very rare these days.....sure the last great copy i saw was best part of a grand
Tony Smith Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 very rare these days.....sure the last great copy i saw was best part of a grand Really?? I've always thought of this at 2-300 tops!
Chalky Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Last one I saw was recently and was around 7 or 800 I think.
Marc Forrest Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Really?? I've always thought of this at 2-300 tops! It took me exactly 16 years to get hold of one after hearing it on one of George Sharp`s tapes. You just never saw them until about six , seven years ago...used to be a steady 800 UKP seller. Have seen a few since then I must admit ...in variying conditions. Maybe a 5-600 UKP record in this day and age ? What did the ebay copy close at ?
Marc Forrest Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Last one I saw was recently and was around 7 or 800 I think. LOL look at me post written simultaneously with yours...as if I was reading your mind (or vice versa)!
Mach Posted September 4, 2012 Author Posted September 4, 2012 £455...but it had a big scratch, that went straight across, and even scratched the label...so it probably clicked, but there was no sound file, so could,nt tell,..maybe thats why there was,nt one
Marc Forrest Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 cheers...sounds quite high for a scratched copy esp if the scratch will be audible.
Chalky Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Andy Dyson had a copy for ages and it wouldn't sell. It wasn't until I put a soundfile with it on here that it finally went. Two great sides. Great minds and all that Marc

Mach Posted September 4, 2012 Author Posted September 4, 2012 yeah great doubler header, infact the flip side used to be in refosoul on here,..but not the A side .
Guest Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Really?? I've always thought of this at 2-300 tops! Took the words out of my mouth, Tony...£400 at an absolute stretch was my initial thought. Always seemed to be a copy up for grabs back in the day.
Dave Pinch Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 i think the copy that stuck with me was john manships auction copy earlier this year that was high, anyone remember gary smelt have one for a ton( blacknight records)...20 year ago tho
jocko Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 (edited) I paid a tenner in mid 80's from Soul Bowl, that immortal and self satisfying phrase I love saying. Given my normal profiteering me selling it for about a 100 seems reasonable, probably about 20 years ago also but the above makes me think it was one of my few that I should have got more. To be fair don't think I have seen that many since. Edited September 4, 2012 by jocko
jocko Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Also worth saying, I tried this out many times and it never really worked, in my set anyway, Another Gary Rushbrooke gem for me, fair to say?
