Guest Baz Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 Pat & the blenders.........quite like the record, but way over the top IMO seems to be a steady supply of copys.
Guest FYLDECOAST Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 My choice would be Willi J & Co - Boogie with your baby - KiKi must be 100s in blackpool alone , everybody bought one . Steve Mc
Guest NASHEE Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 Charles Sheffield....according to Robert Solly, an excello collector(and owner of every excello recording ever made).."A not particularly rare excello record"...you should be able to pick one up easily enough for about £20 still waiting patiently
Guest trojan skin Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 Dottie and millie talkin about my baby ,I always liked the other side better a good £5 record about six years ago

Jordirip Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 I noticed that utter shoite Gerri Halliwell soundalike bilge by Frank Popp (Hip Teens) going for stupid money on ebay the other night. What the hell is that all about? Whatever it ended up as (it was £60+ when I saw it) has got to make it the most overpriced record at the mo. Jordi
Guest Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 Dottie and millie talkin about my baby ,I always liked the other side better a good £5 record about six years ago It was a £10.00 record i started playing it at the AQUARIUS Hendsford about 4 years ago within 3 months dave rimmer played it at the 100 club it went from £10.00 to £100.00 then within 6 months £250.00 dont know why its not rare HB

He said He'd think about it. Couple of nighters later he wanted £150. Gone right off it now. I think it's twee. I blame Rachel. Seems to be plenty of copies of Kel Osborne floating about, so I'm wondering if £500 is perhaps a bit steep?

Guest Netspeaky Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 For me has to be "I just kept on dancing" our Doug........not whether you like it or not ATB Stevie It's a must have now, so price is dictated by the rush to own, simple so if it's hot fraid so is the price. The strange thing is even after the gold rush, it never seems to come back down to previous level, JM rubber stamps the hot price and that's what we end up with, rarity has nothin' to do with it.
Simsy Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 Whitch Kel Osborne....? HB Quicksand. I know your copy's reasonably priced Nige. But £500+ for a mint copy if it ain't that rare, well just seemed a little steep was all.

Driveller Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 Neck and neck between Dottie And Millie and "Deep Dark Secret", I'd say... I remember when you used to have to beat copies of Dottie & Millie off with a shitty stick. Mind you, you still have to now, onlyyou're beating them off at £200 a time . All the best, Nick

Pudsoul Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 Isn't Terry Callier a bit pricey, considering the label, I mean it can't be that rare. I bought mine for a few pounds in the 80s, and swapped it and another record I can't even remember in the 90s with a Mr Tony Smith for Jimmy 'Soul' Clark "I'll be your champion", which costs less now than Terry Callier.

Guest James Trouble Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 What s the today rate of this then ? Marc £50-£100. Wrighty has just told me he's seen a few go through ebay at $50 recently. Hardly over priced, especially when you concider that it is arguably one of the best records ever made and is in demand all over the world by all sorts of DJs.

Guest uroffal Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 For me has to be "I just kept on dancing" our Doug........not whether you like it or not ATB Stevie There are literally tons of way over priced records around, but I'll nominate The Majestics on Linda. I've had two of these in the last 12 months and there doesn't seem to be more than a week or so go by without another one appearing (always seems to fetch very high prices ranging between £250 and £500 depending on pink or orange/yellow. Tons of others though ...
Guest Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 but I'll nominate The Majestics on Linda. Thought it was hilarious that it was listed on Ebay with a $299 kick off and went through twice with no bids. Lowers the starting price and then it makes almost $500!?!?!? Idiots!
