My mate Van Asbury, used to pen his name VAN on the label, so if anybody has one of those, he's now in Perth Oz and back on the scene over there, he may be interested in getting some of tunes back. If anyone has NL scratched in the run out groove then it's a good chance it's a guy called Nick Lyde from North Wales, who disappeared off the scene in about 1975, not been seen since. I had some great tunes off this guy, he used to supply some of the top DJ's of the day, so I reckon they will have moved on by now. Link to comment Social source share

Gene-r
In the early '80s I bought a copy of "Baby Love" by The Supremes on Stateside from a junk shop, and written on the label in pencil was "Barry The Mod"! Love to think it was an original '60s piece of WOL, but then again, who knows??? Link to comment Social source share

Guest ScooterNik
I had a few records stolen in the mid 80s (mainly cheapos and reissues) which had a NTM graphic drawn on the label - always the b side - with horizontal lines connecting the crossbar of the T with the adjacent leg on the N and the last leg of the M giving an underline (if you can visualise that!). If any of these turn up I'd be interested Link to comment Social source share

As I've picked a lot of these from yard sales, house clearances on ebay, I find it's kinda sad that the person who bought it originally, maybe no longer with us. Dayo
Slightly off topic, but I bought a copy of a Booker T. classic Time is Tight. It was in a junk shop. Some joker had scratched out the word "Time" on the label and scrawled the name "Jan" in red pen above it. Maybe it was my imagination, but I'm certain I could see the pent up frustration in his desperate handwriting. Link to comment Social source share

Read any mid 70s fanzine and his name often crops up as a top dancer or big collector. Was a big Mecca boy and friend of Ian Levine. 'Ronnie from Oldham' - always used to see him at the Manchester Ritz allnighters throughout the late 90s, then at Prestwich. Havent seen him recently.
