Theothertosspot Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 Looking through and listening to records, wondering what the relationship between Onederful, LaCindy and Peaches records is as the Admirations recorded on all three and the credits are similar, is the Peaches release rare because of the "missplet artist"? and also is the LaCindy label the same one that El Anthony recorded on? Any info appreciated please. Regards
Chalky Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 La Cindy it is Walter and the Admerations, note the spelling. Walter Smith was in the Admirations but left after an arguement I think. The story is on Boba's site, well the interview is. The Admirations are the Childs Brothers.
Theothertosspot Posted August 21, 2012 Author Posted August 21, 2012 (edited) Their on the credits of onederful also but who's Myles?, was pleased to meet you at skeggy by the way Edited August 21, 2012 by theothertosspot
Theothertosspot Posted August 21, 2012 Author Posted August 21, 2012 (edited) Remember Steve Kennedy (RIP) telling me he had a copy of Admirations on Peaches in 81/2, but talking to Ted it was played at the Cats in 70's by BM at CC, but no doubt these records were sidelined off in favour of the Javells, etc. Neared mind fulfils the scene Edited August 21, 2012 by theothertosspot
Dobber Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 is it the same group on peaches as on paree "heaven in your arms"they sound similar vocally?
Munchkin Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 (edited) same group on one derful/ paree and peaches Edited August 21, 2012 by munchkin
boba Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 myles is sherman myles, one of the group members. I think Otis Hayes ran the Paree and Peaches label (each of which has at least one other release).
