Marc Forrest Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 Hi and sorry if its the wrong section to post, but as its concerning both sales and wants I didnt knew any better place, please feel free to move mods.. Anyway, whats been buggering me now for a long time is that so many people start threads in sales and wants with headlines giving no information at all about what 45 the thread will be about. It would be much easier and faster to manage if we would have a rule to name the titles the thread is on about already in the headline Obviously it doesnt apply to listings of four or more titels but as 90 % of the sales and wants listings are for individual items only it would be quite sufficent I believe. What do you think ? 1
Mark W Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 Agree, I often skip reading the "Few For Sale" or "Couple of Wants"............give us a clue people! 1
Modernsoulsucks Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 If you look at the guidelines in the Sales you will see that I do suggest this. Not going to force it though. ROD

ROD at a guess most didnt / dont know /realize just like I never did hence my asking. Understand you dont wanna force it any further, maybe this threads helps in getting more people s attention to this easy to solve "problem" though.
KevH Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 Only problem is that you can only list the first couple, which in itself may be misleading as to the others for sale.It only takes a minute,or two, to look at a list.
Chalky Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 I wish people would stop puting asterisks or other symbols at the from of their topic title, they are under the illusion it makes their stuff sell quicker I think, I tend to ignore these **********rare crap for sale********** It is a pain when trying to read on your phone etc.. Will give this topic a bit of daylight in here then move to Feedback.
Keithw Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 ######### sorry chalky ############# ive done this before now i will stop honestly @@@@@@@ last go XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX 1
Guest Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 Whilst we're being grumpy old men, I'd also add that for those of you who like using non-standard fonts when typing on here...well...they become unreadable when viewed on an iPhone. The message defaults to a terrible gothic styled italic font that is literally unreadable. The moment I open up a message and see that, I have to close and ignore it. I assume the Mods are already aware of this?
Benji Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 David, dont have any font viewing problems on my Galaxy.
Guest Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 David, dont have any font viewing problems on my Galaxy. I won't screen-shot an example, as maybe unfair on the poster...but if the Mods want to see what I mean I will send one via a PM.
Dobber Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 flynnys right,i use the iphone and ipad, the font is unreadable,i have to pm the poor bugger to change is font so i can read it,but then the seller probably thinks he has a sale on the horizon!

Any idea what the offending font is, so Mike can possibly delete it as an option?

Dobber Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 the font is terrible,it may as well be bloody latin...haha,to be honest,if i see a sales with a unreadable font,i just dont bother with at all,me personally when i do a sales list, just keep it standard and simple!
Chalky Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 Any idea what the offending font is, so Mike can possibly delete it as an option? The offending font I think you mean is That is what is in one of the posts in truthful feedback topic.....I can't even read it.
