Mike Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 just a quick word as have just noticed have hit the 1000+ positive feedbacks in the sales sections on here which aint that bad seeing running for 18 months you can view all the feedback here https://www.soul-source.co.uk/feedback/ or via the members profile pages hats off to all the members who have helped make it a useful feature on here 1
Pete S Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 I just had a look at my feedback and not many people leave me it to be honest, I get an email saying they are really pleased etc but they don't actually add anything on site - except for someone who obviously read the topic about me complaining about the guy who left me positive feedback which just said "ok" - so he leaves me a positive Soul Source feedback which just says "ok", which actually made me chuckle but might be seen as not so great, if you see what I mean. The reason people don't leave as much feedback as they should is the one that's been gone over many times, that the buyers have to go back through the sales lists to find the original post.
Chalky Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 easiest thing to do Pete is "follow" a topic then you wouldn't have to go searching.
Pete S Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 (edited) easiest thing to do Pete is "follow" a topic then you wouldn't have to go searching. Yeah but when you read a sales thread you don't think that you'll be following the topic like you would with an ongoing forum topic. * I read your guide on making it easy Chalky, it was excellent, but it's still too much work for many Edited August 20, 2012 by Pete S
Chalky Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 I would only follow a topic in sales if I was selling or had bought an item. Regardless it is the easiest thing to do, nothing to remember then.
Mike Posted August 20, 2012 Author Posted August 20, 2012 we could have it set up so that the actual given of feedback is not linked to the actual deal/post but i think that there does have to be a 'connection' with the actual 'deal' post otherwise it just wouldn't work - it just be a general good guy sort of thing a quick and easy way to find any posts is just click on the seller/buyers profile and hit the "find content" link (top right 1/3rd down) eg if chalky flogged me a 45 and i wanted to find his sales post quick to throw some feedback at him very good chance it be listed here https://www.soul-sour...ctivity&mid=225
Guest Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Like Pete I also get plenty of satisfied customers via Soul-Source, who can't work out how to leave feedback. In addition to this, I also get sales from folk who have PM'ed me their wants list, or have taken links to my website via Soul-Source....they have no specific thread to link the sale(s) up to (as required). Not sure what to suggest, but there's some food for thought.
Chalky Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Have they actually said they would leave feedback but don't know how to? Have they read the dummies guide I did? If you follow the topic you do get a way back to the topic. Click on you name top right and in the drop down list there is the option to go to content I follow.
Guest Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Have they actually said they would leave feedback but don't know how to? Have they read the dummies guide I did Yes and yes...and yes I have managed to leave feedback when I have bought things myself. You have to appreciate that some folk aren't as tech savvy as others, and that they may find the route back to the thread (if there is a relevant one) difficult. The simple solution is to have a a feedback option where folk just write in without a link...naturally this is open to abuse...but then again so is the current system. If I see feedback from regular contributors of the site I know I would feel positive about doing a transaction. 1
