Kris Holmes Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 46 of the rarest soul/funk 45s to come from the most miniscule independent labels with facsimile label artwork. 108 page hardback book. MP3 download. Label art 45 adapters. All housed in a retro, vinyl-covered, embossed carry case. Looks incredible. A no brainer purchase for people who love 45s..... Watch the saga unfold https://www.numerogroup.com/eccentricsoul/ I can't wait
Guest JJMMWGDuPree Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 It's gonna cost a fortune to import, but I got my order in already. Although I gotta say that some of the sample tracks they've put up aren't as inspiring as I'd been expecting.

Drove thru your town a few years back, singing 'I'm on the freeway to Monterey', who sang that ? My memory is shot !

Kris Holmes Posted November 2, 2012 Author Posted November 2, 2012 just got this yesterday, amazing. listening right now.
Greg Belson Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 (edited) I couldn't bring myself to buy this set......I should really pick up the book cos that looks great, but as far as the rest of the box is concerned, it would have sat in the corner, gathering dust. I'm probably missing out, but I still can't deal with buying reissue 45's, no matter how nicely they're packaged. Edited November 2, 2012 by Greg Belson 2

Greg Belson Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 can you truthfully tell me that 90% of your collection just sits in a corner gathering dust most the time anyway? I can truthfully tell you that my LP's are pretty dormant...........but I'm in my 45's crates everyday. I think the book & mp3's would work.....the book for me, and the mp3's for the wifey and the car. I'm pretty much a slave to the OG 45, mate.....it's a curse, I tell you! 1
Kris Holmes Posted November 2, 2012 Author Posted November 2, 2012 I'm pretty much a slave to the OG 45, mate.....it's a curse, I tell you! i too know that curse, but am not against trying to break it every now & then when the op presents 1
Ian Dewhirst Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 I can truthfully tell you that my LP's are pretty dormant...........but I'm in my 45's crates everyday. I think the book & mp3's would work.....the book for me, and the mp3's for the wifey and the car. I'm pretty much a slave to the OG 45, mate.....it's a curse, I tell you! It's definitely a curse Greg. I've majorely scaled down my LP's and 12"'s over the last 4-5 years and now those particular sections have become easily manageable again. I'm finally getting to my 45's and doing the same operation again which will run for the next few years before it's in a similar state. I'm moving house at the moment, which is a major focus in terms of what do I need to actually lug to another location at the risk of filling 2 rooms with physical plastic. My problem is that I've also been collecting CD masters for the last 22 years and now the sheer scale of my CD collection is challenging the sheer scale of the vinyl collection. I've been running out of room for the last 40 years now I think about it...... Ian D 3
