macca Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Did anyone see Dean Parrish I'm On My Way sell on Ebay for $255.00! Thirteen people bid for the record. I thought this booked for only 50 or 60 quid, and in M condition. On the other hand a nice looking copy of Gwen & Ray went for only $224.00 with 7 bids. Both records were in America.

I have a nice-looking BYH, but it hisses like feck & I would not attempt to sell it. Hope teh buyer is happy. Edited July 30, 2012 by Droylsdonian
Ian Seaman Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 apparently both the original & the boot are getting hard to find !!, sold my original demo to Ian Gee on the instructions that when he sells up it comes back to me !! I have a styrene copy here somewhere but that took me ages to locate !! Ian.
Prophonics 2029 Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 Is the styrene the boot Ian or a real issue.
George G Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 There was a small quantity of Gwen and Ray found about 18 months ago. There were absolutely originals, I'd bet this one was as it is from the groups locale in the Baltimore area. I could never understand if this record is truely rare as there does not seem to be much buzz about it nor does it sell for much when offered. I bought one from the find, it sounds just fine for a relatively crude recording and low level mastering. I love the record and so do the people in Seattle when I play it out.
