Weingarden Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 anyone have an isleys "my love is your love" on uk 45? and does the temptations' "forever in my heart" exist on 45 at all as a boot or latter-day release? if so i need one. thanks, m
davidwapples Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 pretty sure the temptations came out on a boot but maybe under the name of come on back to me baby , there is a version on youtube on a soul lookalike type thing link below
Benji Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 isley bros is Uk Lp only but was booted on a white label 45
Steve G Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 Matt "My love is your love" only came out on a Budget LP as a legit UK release. Sorry about that, but no legit UK Tamla Motown 45 exists.
Chalky Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 I can't remember if the Temptations ever did get booted on a 45? It was certainly done on an LP.
Agentsmith Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 I can't remember if the Temptations ever did get booted on a 45? It was certainly done on an LP. i agree with you as well chalx, the isley bros appeared on a four track boot with barbara mcnair - it happens every time, marvin gaye - sweet thing & the temp's - ive gotta find a way....but not seen a forever on a boot at all
davidwapples Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 there is one pictured on the youtube clip i posted , really sure i had this on another designed label as well as a boot , think it was a white label " gordy design" but the label was stuck on the 45 and was slightly smaller than it should have been
Chalky Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 there is one pictured on the youtube clip i posted , really sure i had this on another designed label as well as a boot , think it was a white label " gordy design" but the label was stuck on the 45 and was slightly smaller than it should have been that could have been a home made job? I can't recall seeing a boot other than the one in the clip above? it was originally played from cuts.
Mot Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 Both came out on boot 45's. Temp's on a plain white label (i'm pretty sure anyway - maybe on a "Soul" label though?) with large centre and the Isley's came on on Soul Beat label (red with small centre hole) with The Monitors "Crying in the night" on the other side.
Weingarden Posted July 21, 2012 Author Posted July 21, 2012 hmmm...a buddy of mine here in the u.s. played an isleys 45 that appeared to be u.k. and had a large blue or green A on the "my love is your love" side. b-side was another isleys song that was possibly lp-only, can't recall which one.

Chalky Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 It did Chalky, booted on the Gordy Label w/d titled Forever in my Heart (Come on back to me Baby) I've no doubt seen it Shute but just can't remember seeing it. Was it done same time as FW and Suspicion on the lookalike Soul labels?
shute Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 I've no doubt seen it Shute but just can't remember seeing it. Was it done same time as FW and Suspicion on the lookalike Soul labels? Believe it may have been about 12mths before as Keith Minshell kept plugging it when he dj'ed
