Came out on 2 label designs , one a plain red logo with black print , other with a piano on label , had copies of both last 2 I sold 18 months ago at £100 each , great record that was pretty well known to collecters in the 80s and you could pick up for £12-£15 in them days

The two label designs are exactly the same except one of them has a piano added to it (e.g. fonts and layout are the same). The one without the piano is rarer.

This was the most successful, and common, record on the label (and the best musically), the one without the piano is probably a second press done shortly after the first one.

There was a significant quantity of M- copies of the piano logo around about 10 or so years ago. I assumed they came from the infamous Cleveland 'leaky garage' but I don't know for sure. I found a beat one years ago that I had forgot about and bought one of the M- ones for $75-$100.

I will pay $100 for an upgrade to a mint one if you have one. What is the story of the "leaky garage"?

I got the dee o's pressing of the 7th house recently, it's earlier than the debroussard press. They left the group name off the label. It's the same recording but a different mix, much rawer, the debroussard version is more professional sounding. Do you have the 4th generation 45?

Bob, the Rotations sale was some years ago. Whatever it goes for now, that was posted earlier.

I've seen the Dee Os 45 you mention but I don't have it. Interesting that it's a different recording. I don't think I even listened to the copy I saw! The DeBrossard (the correct label name) 45 was recorded at Motion Picture Sound, a defunct (but the building is still standing, a rare thing in that part of Cleveland) Cleveland studio that recorded mainly film music! I have an ad for the 7th House opening for Aretha Franklin, I think. For some reason I thought they have common members with the Donations aka World War III on Dee Os

Weird you mention the 4th Generation, I just got that about 6 weeks ago. Before that I only knew about it through word of mouth - maybe it was you who told me about it!

emailing you re: 7th house...

also unrelated, i got the praytells on ebay right when i started looking in like the late 90s, it was an unplayed stock copy from some Japanese seller. I remember getting some crazy things from that seller actually, just oddball stuff and it was before everyone was looking for oddball stuff so it was always $10. At that time the 7th house title was actually sort of around.

Sold my copy on here last year for £100.. Mine was in tip top condition except for a tiny label flaw on the edge. Paid $15 back in the mid 9t's & never noticed it all those years! Wish I'd kept it but unemployment dictated. Magic record which I think will keep increasing now it's more known and in demand. I'd get any for sale snapped up whilst it's still affordable!
