I tried to upload a photo but can't seem to : so email me and I'll send it to you that way

PRICE : £150

Artist: THE ORGANISERS

A-side: The Organiser

B-side: Lonesome Road

Label: Pye 7N 17022 (UK Original) Year : 1966

Condition : Vinyl : Strong VG+ Plays loud and strong throughout. In fact this is the loudest pressing I have heard on any 45 and I've heard a lot! Usually thats a typical record dealer excuse to cover up a myriad of scratches and flaws, I assure you this is not the case here.FULL MONEY BACK GUARANTEE IF NOT SATISFIED. It's simply just is an incredibly loud pressing full stop. The double bass, hammond, guitar and congas literally boom out of your speakers clear as a bell with no distortion, Incredible mix and seperation on. Very analogue sounding : rich with lots of depth,it really is quite something else production and mastering wise, it amazes me that with all supposed technological advances in the interim that 45's released now sound so weak in comparison but alas I digress that is a whole other story. Basically it'll blow your socks off when you drop the needle! I can record both sides if you need to hear but may take me a while to sort that out as I'm pretty inept with all this music transfer business. Email me

Label : Some noticeable damage both sides where price stickers have been removed , one of my pet hates. The uploaded scans highlight these label flaws. This copy is an ORIGINAL FIRST UK STOCK PRESSING. This official red label pressing is much rarer than the white promo solid centre version which tends to turn up more regularily (well relatively speaking, once a year maybe!) I've noticed this a lot with the rarer PYE 45 releases, promos being much more readily available than the actual release. You can dink out the centre spindle with this one if you so desire.

Last red label copy on Ebay went for £282 ! Popsike it here :

So finally, to the tracks, here we have 2 superb and ALWAYS IN DEMAND gems from the MOD and HAMMOND/ORGAN Instro scenes - Listen to the soundclip link , that will tell you far more than me rattling on about how good the juxtaposition between bass and hammond is! I can't find a soundclip for side 2 , safe to say it's more of the same stylewise but not as uptempo and more in a mod soundtrack mode if that makes sense.

Top line up and a lot of mystery surrounding this recording as very little is documented about it I have been unable to find much information about THE ORGANISERS, except that it was the name given to a one-off studio band led by HAMMOND ORGANIST.........HAROLD SMART!!! There is brilliant, booming double-bass playing (in the mould of a cool cat such as Danny Thompson) and super-slick guitar runs (from perhaps somebody like Big Jim Sullivan or Joe Moretti). However, I really don't anything about who played what on "The Organiser" and "Lonesome Road", other than it is Smart who lays down the KILLER, SWINGING HAMMOND GROOVE!!! Copies of this LEGENDARY MONSTER are very hard to track down and the item regularly appears on want lists

A bit of a holy grail 45 here ideal for the Mod Hammond collector.

A reluctant sale as I have family commitments but not too bothered if no ones grabs it as it'll happily go back in the box.

Obviously this will be posted by Insured Special delivery post at the buyers expense.

I have another Jazz mod rarity for sale 'Joanie Sommers' Why don't you do right' with the incredibly rare accompanying picture sleeve, it's listed here :

Thanks for looking !
