I can't find much written about him which is surprising. Also he had only about seven singles over a 14 year period which is odd. Anyone know much more?

Ady how quickly do you need it?

He's on my list of people to research in the next month or so....b.t.w if it's for a Kent S/W project "You haven't seen nothing yet" was destined to be his 2nd 45 on the label after it's initial release oN Wheelsville but didn't make it.

Fascinating Steve, unfortunately the Wand CD has gone to the printers, it's the King one I'm working on now. Deadline was last week so we'll have to pool any extra info.

Cheers

He was behind Black Pepper You keep running out of gas in the late 80s is that one of em Phil? I think there were his backing band for live shows on the West Coast but not 100% sure.

It got reissued in the UK recently on some weird Jamaican dancehall 7" repress, not sure of the legalities of it.

Sticky Records also put Running Out Of Gas out as a 45, 3 to 4 years back.

Will was also the co producer on the Duane Williams( formerly Beverley & Duane) 45 and cd album we released on Soul Junction in 2008.

That's the one Dave, I think they pressed 300 or 400. Got one somewhere to save lugging the 12" about and because I thought it might be collectible one day....Steve

It is indeed plus one on the same lable under his own name.

Hi Dave,

Yes I had that, i think we can discount Little Richard's son though. If Richard had been that way inclined he would have been about ten to father Willie.

Cheers

I don't know about the age but a surprising amount of pre-1970 gay men got married and have children. Many got divorced later when they hit their mid life crisis and couldn't deal.

I doubt little richard was ever in the pre-1970 "hide it" phase though.

Do you mean Willie? Or did Willie produce Roger?

You could be right.

I haven't had chance to search through the shelves and boxes as yet.
