Guest Gogs Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 Not been in Stratford upon Avon for over 30 years, nice place, but don't remember any soul on the juke box.
Ged Parker Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 Had a section of Northern in my own pub juck box in the 80's Little Ritchie, Christine Cooper, Dells, Velvet Satins, Dana Valery and others all originals too. I must have been mad
Steve Foran Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 The Pilgrims in Bedford circa mid to late 70,s. We had allsorts on there. I remember Tony Warot putting his Gerri Grainger on a Bell demo on it one night. 1
Grayman45 Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 When you think about it though, it's a good way of passing the music on to the next generation.
Soulman Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 (edited) I've been in a few pubs that have had Northern on the jukebox but what surprised me many months ago was when I walked up to the bar and on the "hand pulled" section was Northern Soul Rider. A nice pint it was too. Got the landlord to drop me off the clip thingy that they put on the pumps when he had done with it. Just goes to show that Northern Soul is everywhere! Ritchieandrew Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 Also at the Palace Hotel in Rhyl, mid to late Seventies, things like Epitome of sound, Shirley Lawson, Christine Cooper, Rose Batiste Hit & Run................... & yes all O.V.O. I never did get them back, but we allways had free plays of them. Happy Days.! Ricardo.

Roburt Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 Get your orders in now ...... https://www.northernbrewing.co.uk/90300/info.php?p=2 Charlie Rees (from Cheshire area originally ... so not OVO.... Original Vagrant Only) used to call that way on his journey up to the Cleggy weekender & lay a stock in for the event (I'd wager that our's wasn't that only caravan fridge that had no room for food during the weekender). 1
Roburt Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 A bottle of your best Rose Battiste please ............
